Please note that the free weekly RTI clinic which was started last year will hence forth be held only on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 8 am to 10 am at my Ribandar office in Goa to assist people in drafting their RTI applications.
The RTI clinic has been as part of my social commitment and responsibility to help people unearth corruption, nepotism and expose bad governance through the Right to Information Act.
As most Public Information Officers try to find every excuse possible to reject an RTI application, it is very vital that the application is rightly and precisely worded.
In Goa where today the current rampant corruption and nepotism is an endemic problem at all levels, the RTI Act can empower people to enforce accountability and transparency in the functioning of the government and every public authority. RTI has to be an aggressive people’s movement. Let it be our weapon guiding our path to make Goa a better place.
