That wrong news reported in the section of the media that Goa Chief Minister Mr. Pramod Sawant alias Mr. Property Sawant is a Maharashtrian is absolutely not true. He is very much a Goan who did his studies in Ayurveda at Kolhapur. However nobody knows from which University Pramod Sawant obtained his Masters in Social Work which he claims to possess. Possibly it was a degree bought over the shelf.
Pramod Sawant’s dad is also very much a Goan and was a driver at Chowgules who retired some years ago while always being a strong activist of the Communist Party of India.
Let us leave it to the Goa Lokayukta to now probe as to how Pramod Sawant swiftly amassed so many crores as the then Chairman of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) and bought huge properties all over in the name of a partnership firm M/s Jay Ganesh Developers and Associates set up by him in 2014 as a front with Ranjit Rohidas Mangaonkar, Rupesh Narayan Thanekar and Rajesh Manohar Shirodkar as the other three partners. But now one of those partners has reportedly parted company fearing that he would soon face the heat and wrath of law.
Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is a Goan, but there can be no dispute that ‘Goa ka Chowkidar Chor Hai’. Over to you Mr. Chief Minister, on how you have the audacity to speak about Zero Tolerance to Corruption when you are so deeply entrenched in that very muck.
