It does not augur well for Goa that despite being one of India’s most literate States, that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has to so frequently dash to Delhi to seek the Prime Minister’s guidance and advice on how to develop and run Goa for the benefit of the people.
It is unfortunate that even after occupying the Chair for three years as Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant in his now second innings lacks the confidence to lead the State. Perhaps he has still not acquired the required skills to govern Goa. Will Pramod Sawant always be the accidental CM?
Instead of rushing to Narendra Modi, Pramod Sawant could get dependable and reliable advice from persons with expertise in various fields in Goa while the Government also has a team of very competent officers to give practical and realistic advice on the problems facing our State.

Being a CM is not just about having a title! Nor is it about being his master’s voice! A CM must be a knowledgeable leader of integrity, accountability and transparency. One, who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. He must be his own man, who must confidently lead and not always be led!
