THOSE IN POWER AND AUTHORITY MUST BE MORAL EXEMPLARS

On the heels of that alleged sex scandal involving Minister Milind Naik who as propriety demanded has resigned, we have to now grapple with a scandalous extra marital affair that another BJP leader is reportedly merrily having with a Police Inspector.

I have been inundated with messages and calls from people wanting to know the name of that immoral Politician and of the erring Police Inspector.

But let the law take its own course. In all fairness will give the Chief Secretary and the DGP a fortnight to get to the bottom of this nauseating rot. Failing which on New Year’s Day will be constrained to place the facts before our Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and leave the ball in his Court.

Interestingly many have already rightly guessed who the Politician and Police Inspector are. And of course the two know better than the whole world what has been transpiring on the bed within the four walls of the bedroom. It has been rightly said that ‘walls have ears’.

The Politician and that Police Inspector have lost all moral authority to continue in the responsible positions they are currently occupying.

Goa is having enough problems and could do without such serious breach of morals and integrity by those in power and authority. All this brings disrepute to our well cultured and very educated Goa on the eve of when we are celebrating 60 years of Liberation. Time to introspect whether we are truly liberated?
