With Goa gearing up for the ensuing Assembly elections nothing can save the current ruling BJP from a resounding defeat.
Smelling a rout, it should come as no surprise if the saffron brigade replaces Pramod Sawant with a more sober, truthful and sensible leader.
But that will be of no avail, so also the replacing of sitting MLAs with new faces will also not help as this ruthless and corrupt government has hurt and antagonized every possible section of the Goan populace.
As a political gimmick every last minute trick will be played to desperately eyewash the voters. But Goans will not forgive or forget the pain and anguish they have had to endure over the last five years.
Rampant corruption and bad governance galore has been the order of the day while the public have had even in the raging pandemic to demonstrate and agitate against a stream of anti-people measures adopted by the BJP.
Even those two outstation side engines hired by the saffron brigade, well funded and fuelled to mischievously split anti-BJP votes will come a cropper.
Regardless of all the politriks and abuse of power that the BJP will indulge in to retain power, the writing is on the wall as those who betrayed the people’s trust and defected for the lust of power and money will have to bear the brunt of people’s verdict where the Courts failed to timely adjudicate on the rank defection of those who chose to merrily be political prostitutes.
