While many of our traffic cops across Goa are ever so busy in broad daylight fleecing and skinning the gullible tourists, a Panaji Traffic Cell Head Constable Sayyed Mohammad Ashraf (Badge No 3569) lends a much needed and very generous helping hand to an aged Goenkar attempting to cross the road. This is infact what Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarponn is all about.
Sayyed Mohammad Ashraf should be every Goan’s unanimous choice for the Chief Minister’s Police Medal at this year’s December 19th Liberation Day.
Let us hope that our Chief Secretary Mr. Dharmendra Sharma and the Director General of Police Dr Muktesh Chander will move forward in the right direction to honour this brave soul so that it serves as a guiding inspiration to very other cop in Goa that ‘Honesty and selflessly serving Humanity is always the best Policy’.
