SILLY SOULS SAGA – INSPIRATION FOR A GOAN TIATR?

God and the whole world (especially the Goan Diaspora) knows that though the Excise licence was in the name of Anthony De Gama that the controversial ‘Silly Souls Café and Bar’ in Assagao was being run by the family of Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani. In reality by Eightall Food and Beverages which is operating in partnership with Ugraya Mercantile Pvt Limited of which Zubin Irani the husband of Smriti Irani is a Director. They know how corruption works and the law is bent by those at the top.

Now for the first time ever the family of Anthony De Gama is claiming that Eightall Food and Beverages had nothing to do with Silly Souls Café & Bar and was owned, run and managed by the family of Anthony De Gama. This lie stands exposed by documentary evidence to the effect that  GST No 30AAIFE7039H1ZM as well as the Food and drugs licence used by Silly Souls Café & Bar was all in the name of Eightall Food and Beverages.

There is also documentary proof to the effect that the premises where Silly Souls Café & Bar is located was leased to Eightall Food and Beverages by the family of Anthony De Gama with effect from 1st January 2021 for a period of 10 years at a monthly rent of Rs 50,000. And the Excise Superintendent Mahesh Korgaonkar had the audacity of telling the Chief Secretary during the hearing of the appeal that a running restaurant is not a prerequisite to issue an Excise licence. What a black lie. It is high time the Silly Souls realise that the law is not an ass.
