As voters of Panaji Constituency we have to ensure that the next MLA we elect is free of criminal antecedents as contemplated by the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of India. An alleged rapist and someone who dared attack our Police Station cannot be our MLA.
Our MLA has to be a person with impeccable integrity commanding respect and who also has the basic intellectual ability to be an able legislator to ensure that good laws are enacted. Not someone who survives on Muscle and Money power.
Needless to say our MLA cannot be a playboy who Pramod Sawant had warned us that if elected the young ladies around would be all extremely unsafe.
Definitely our MLA cannot be someone who thrives on rampant corruption and for whom Development of the constituency is only sponsoring of tournaments and festivities to lure the Youth.
And who needs an MLA who has destroyed our fields and hills for his own pecuniary gains besides grabbing property high-handedly.
Panaji needs an MLA we can be proud of who would selflessly and with a vision transform a sinking eyesore into a vibrant city which we can be proud of as a stunning capital of Goa.
And above all a ruthless political thug who has breached and violated every law possible should never ever become an MLA at least in Goa.
