The Central Government decision to observe today the 15th November as Tribal Pride Day is yet another eyewash. A spurious and devious electioneering balm that will fool none.
Our tribes have made immense contributions to the freedom struggle of the country. We need to acknowledge their role played and to ensure that future generations are made aware of their immense sacrifices towards our nation.
It is so very unfortunate that even in a very small State like ours our tribal brethren have to still endure injustice, suffering and neglect. A very sad state of affairs. The Government owes an apology for the lip service our vulnerable tribals have had to live with.
