We cannot lose sight that when we vote for an MLA, we are electing a Legislator whose constitutional task is to ensure that through a well studied debate contributes to the process of enacting good laws for the State.
But over the last few years with Money and Muscle power having sadly engulfed the political turf, some very incompetent and unworthy persons have been able to sneak in and become MLAs. This sad state of affairs is untenable and must change for the sake of Goa’s welfare.
And we can start it on May 19th at the Panaji by-election by overwhelmingly electing the very knowledgeable Subhash Velingkar who is a person of steadfast integrity, well educated and having the intellectual ability besides the competence to be a good legislator. Nobody can point a finger to Subhash Velingkar’s honesty in public life.
Undoubtedly from amongst those in the fray, the very matured Subhash Velingkar has all the much needed potential to be a very vocal and eloquent Legislator within and outside the Goa Legislative Assembly.
