The Courts will decide whether Babush Monserrate is innocent or guilty but the rule of law and parity must prevail at all times. Anyone involved in any crime should never be spared however high or powerful he or she be. There cannot be one yardstick for Tarun Tejpal and the Louis Berger case while another in going very soft in dealing with cases against Manohar Parrikar, Dilip Parulekar and the other law breakers connected to the BJP.
Sources not very surprisingly reveal that a lady Advocate from Taleigao who is very close to the BJP and a member of the Child Welfare Committee, was the one who allegedly coaxed and cajoled the alleged victim girl to nail Babush Monserrate. Is this a well laid trap by the saffron party that had not long ago lured and befriended the now beleaguered Santa Cruz MLA?
No wonder the common man is losing his trust and faith in the criminal and justice delivery system which has become warped as the political bosses are conveniently manipulating the affairs to their whims and fancies. Is the BJP fearing Babush Monseratte and in an attempt to rein him in, just before the elections, making this a game-plan which will play as a repeat of the Tarun Tejpal episode?
