GOA’S POLITICAL STINKING ROT

It is Political Prostitution to the hilt. It is not for the love of God but for Mauvin Godinho’s lust and desperation for Power.

While loud preaching and vowing of Zero Tolerance to corruption, the BJP  government has appointed as Chairman of the South Goa Planning and Development Authority the awfully tainted Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho who is the prime accused in the infamous multi crore Power scam case now pending in the Supreme Court.

Manohar Parrikar and Mauvin Godinho had accused each other of cheating and corruption. While Manohar Parrikar had filed a complaint against Mauvin Godinho alleging a multi crore power scam while he was Power Minister, Mauvin Godinho had accused Manohar Parrikar as Chief Minister of gross and rampant corruption during IFFI 2004.

Now for sheer political expediency, the two have embraced and are so intimately in love singing and showering praises galore on each other. Politics makes strange bedfellows. Even those in the world’s oldest profession do it better.

  1. ►Corruption, nepotism, bullying, cronyism, supreme pride, jealousy, selfishness, power hunger, etc. have become the norm in Goa today when many years ago, this was not heard of. Having returned from Canada to retire in Goa, I have been disillusioned with corruption in every level of society in Goa, including in a housing association in which I reside◄
Sad to say, even politics and corruption have crept into the religious hierarchy in Goa where I heard a parish priest (in collaboration with the Archbishop) takes bribes (“donations”) in order to perform baptism and other basic sacraments. Priests are getting into politics, studying to be lawyers (financed by their religious order), and straying away from the path in which Jesus Christ had destined them to be. Few priests today are really religious and pious to be considered as priests of old. They want to drink, party, make money, etc. etc.
Some lawyers (unlike Adv.Aires Rodrigues, Rajeev Gomes, Myron D’Souza, Notary Naik, etc.) have their own hidden agendas to make money at any cost even to degrade the judicial system on which their licences have been issued.
After observing all the above, I am saddened and hurt that even though we have the sacred body of St.Francis Xavier in Goa, and people flock to venerate his remains, very few people understand that just merely revering the sacred remains of St.Francis Xavier, and following religious practices is not going to save them from the Supreme and only Almighty Judge of all – Jesus Christ since on judgement day, they will be judged not on their possessions and how many flats and cars they have, but, on how they treated their neighbours!!
►Therefore, I firmly believe that only God can save Goa from such blatant destruction of basic ethics and morals.◄

  2. Anarchy at its peak, courtesy The current Ruling dispensation.
Mauvin Godinho should be in custody by all logical means, but part of the blame goes to the Judiciary… Cases are selectively adjourned and dragged for years.
The sanctity of the Temples of justice has been compromised by the current government.
Blackmailing is the order of the day,as is clearly seen in Mauvins case.
    God help Goa.

  3. Shocking that Mauvin Godinho has embraced the BJP. I always thought that Rajiv Gandhi was his role model and mentor . How easy it is to forget your mentor and join the BJP who have RSS connections , who are out to destroy the unity of Goa on religious bases, just for political power . Isn’t it Mr .Godhino? Shame on you. The Goans will never forgive you.
