All those promises being made by Pramod Sawant’s government are like China-made goods, quickly broken with neither a guarantee nor warranty. The government should in fact only promise what it can deliver and not take people for a ride.
It should be the endeavor of the government to deliver urgently with sincerity, transparency and integrity what people desperately need and want. There should be no reason why every promise made should not be fulfilled. People rightly lose faith in the government for making false and fake promises. A promise should be made only after ascertaining the financial and administrative feasibility of what is being assured.
The people of Goa are a patient lot and only expect that the Government of the day provides the basic amenities. Uninterrupted Power and Water supply besides good roads and clean Air is the least people expect. Goans also assume that their Ministers and MLAs will not indulge in Corruption and extortion. But with our elected wanting to swiftly rise from Rags to Riches the truth is out there for us all to see. Today we have as Ministers chronic land grabbers and persons involved in very serious Crimes. We have reached a sad state of affairs where we can now only pray for our sinking Goa which is so sadly being pushed to the brink by these selfish and greedy politicians in Power.
