As 2024 nears its end, it’s time to reflect on the momentous but some challenging times. It has been a Year where I have spent a lot of time in the Skies travelling around seeing new countries and making more friends. It has been a stimulating year through which God has guided me.
In all fairness had it not been for those who singled me out and awakened me to the fact that I was a Portuguese National, I would have been still inhaling the Smart City dust that our Ribandar has been enveloped in. Hadn’t it been for them who hounded me I may have never been where I am today. You may have been my detractors but I humbly consider you my friends and remain indebted. It all has been a blessing in disguise.
Opting for the Portuguese Passport in 2023 was one of the right decisions I have taken and moved on to a better world and a life to cherish. This year has seen things all falling in place except for my OCI card application which will probably be decided in 2025. It’s been a long and strenuous battle but I will not give it up as it is a right I am entitled to since I was born in Goa. As the authorities have been shying away from issuing me an OCI without giving me any valid reasons, it is now for the Courts to decide on the issue.
It is an opportune moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you, the special people in my life who have often listened without judgement, helped without conditions, understood with caring and loved me no matter what. May this love and special friendship continue into 2025 and beyond.
