Doctors in hospitals across the globe are strenuously working around the clock to save human lives. So isn’t it an irony that precious lives are being needlessly and tragically lost in various war-torn regions of the world. The Russia-Ukraine conflict has shown no respite and now the escalating turmoil around the Middle East is a matter of very grave concern. It is so unfortunate that even the United Nations has not been able to enforce its resolutions towards ensuring peace in the troubled zones. All this while towns and villages are being reduced to rubble.
Extremely painful to see that respect and compassion for mankind has gone for a toss while humans are being senselessly killed by the thousands and infrastructure being destroyed galore. Further heart breaking is to witness scenes of even little children not being spared. All these senseless acts of violence are making the whole world unstable and volatile not just for the affected areas but putting great strain on global security, economy and social cohesion.
The world is currently on the brink of an impending catastrophe and all we can now do is to pray that better sense prevails in the Leaders at the helm of the war engaging countries. That they may pause from War and engage in embracing Peace for the better of mankind. May true Statesmanship and Peace prevail.
Albert Camus, the famous Nobel Prize winning French Philosopher and author, had so correctly stated that ‘Peace is the only war worth waging’.
