GETTING RID OF THE MURKY MONSERRATES HAS TO BE OUR PRIORITY

Let us gear up for any sacrifice whatsoever to ensure the stunning defeat of Panaji MLA Babush Monserrate at the ensuing Assembly elections. It is also imperative that his clan be sent to the cleaners.

On 19th February 2008 Babush Monserrate and his wife Jennifer led the brutal attack on our Panaji Police Station. It is an irony that these law breakers who by now should have been in jail, landed in the Legislative Assembly as our lawmakers.

Babush Monserrate and Jennifer are facing serious charges of that attack on the police station. They mischievously managed to get a stay of the proceedings from the High Court on 4th December 2014 despite the High Court by an earlier order dated 20th April 2012 having rejected their plea and directing them to face trial. The matter has been in cold storage for the last seven long years despite the Supreme Court having directed that criminal cases against politicians should be expeditiously decided.

Babush Monserrate is also facing rape charges with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant himself having warned us that women are not safe with the rapist around.

For the Monserrates politics has become a very lucrative business venture. All this has to change for Goa to see better days. We owe it to posterity to ensure that the current daylight loot and plunder by the Monserrates ends.
