ADMINISTRATIVE MISMANAGEMENT AND ABUSE OF POWER

I took the second dose of the COVID vaccine way back on June 15th at the otherwise very well organized vaccination centre at the Goa Medical College in Bambolim.

Strangely however for the last over four months I have been receiving repeated messages from the authorities erroneously reminding me that my second dose is due.

What a cock-up! Is this not a case of sheer poor data management? Another clear sign of administrative paralysis which Goa has been witnessing, as well as an unnecessary waste of resources.

I was issued a vaccination certificate strangely with the photograph of Narendra Modi to which I strongly objected and accepted under protest whilst requesting that it be replaced.

A photograph, if any, on a vaccination certificate should only be of the person vaccinated.

Thank God my passport and driving licence  do not carry the photograph of the megalomaniac Prime Minister Narendra Modi who seems to be obsessed with his photograph and wanting cheap publicity at the taxpayers’ expense. A sad state of affairs in the world’s largest democracy.

Why should a Prime Minister’s photograph be on our vaccination certificate? It is not happening anywhere else in the world. I am contemplating moving our High Court on this issue.

In fact after having ruined the secular fabric and the fundamental constitutional provisions of our once great nation, his photograph would be better utilised by being plastered on cigarette packets with a health warning.
