I received a call this afternoon from the Goa Raj Bhavan that our very dear and ever so pro-active Governor His Excellency Satya Pal Malik, wants to meet me at 12 noon tomorrow. It is always an Honour to meet such a sincere, dynamic and so practical Governor.
I only hope our dear Governor does not intend to swear me as the officiating Chief Minister of our mismanaged Goa. Our earlier Governor Mridula Sinha used to administer the oath of office to Ministers post-midnight. Perhaps the Governor is giving up on a government in power but not in control and wants positive action on the desperate needs of the people.
I would rather leave it to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to continue bearing the brunt of his gross mismanagement on Madhei, Mining and Casinos besides a host of our issues.
As I gear to turn 60 soon, my humble request to our so dear Governor would be to allow me to enjoy my overworked body as a Senior Citizen.
As always my deep love for our Goa will always propel me to help in any way, even in retirement. Looking forward to meeting our dear Governor!
