Today our Ribandar Church under the very able and dedicated stewardship of our Parish Priest Rev. Fr Antonio Lourenco Fernandes celebrates the Feast of Infant Jesus. And tomorrow the festivities will move on to our nearby Chapel at Fonduvem. For that occasion on Monday 20th January Ribandar will be hosting the 115th annual very long-established Tiatr opposite the chapel at 8pm. The highlight of this over a century old Tiatr is the very unique and traditional depiction and enactment of Biblical scenes by our so talented and outstanding local artists. It has always been my privilege to act in our Tiatr and be part of the joyous celebration.
I have been very fortunate to have been born in Ribandar and lived all my life in this scenic environment. When I depart it is only in Ribandar that my overworked remains may rest in Peace.
