QUO VADIS MY NOW VERY SORROWING INDIA

As a very proud Indian, I am so woefully anguished and deeply distressed that my great nation is today in turmoil and flames.   So many precious lives are being lost. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and his team had burnt the midnight oil to draft our great Indian Constitution to keep our country secular and democratic for posterity. We can never forget Dr. Ambedkar as well as the Great Mahatma and all that they strived to achieve. Gandhi once said “The future depends on what you do today.”

There can be no room whatsoever for politics of hate and the current divisive atmosphere is very disturbing. There can also be no place at all for intolerance. The long term implications of what is currently going on across India instills in us a great fear.

Our fundamental right to freedom of speech and the sacred right to dissent can never ever be compromised.  India’s very secular fabric needs to be preserved at all costs. Our great country should forever thrive on the concept of Unity in Diversity of which our nation was always proud.

Let us all be united in our appeal to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Home Minister Amit Shah to lay to eternal rest the very controversial and needless CAA/NRC and NPR and let us all work together to ensure that Peace and Understanding prevails while ensuring that our great India attains the long overdue status of a Super Power. Toiling towards the much needed recovery of the country’s extremely faltering economy should be our one and only top priority.
