It comes as no surprise that it was Manohar Parrikar who so deviously was keen that his then Urban Development Minister the very naïve Francis D’Souza should travel to the United States of America for medical treatment.
It was not on account of Francis D’ Souza’s well being, but because Manohar Parrikar felt that it would be easier for him to knock out his Minister from the cabinet while he was in a very distant overseas. Infact at the behest of Manohar Parrikar from late last year, the RSS honchos within the Mapusa BJP were plotting to get rid of Francis despite his two decade long unflinching support to the party. It was outrageous on the part of Manohar Parrikar to have back stabbed and axed a very loyal Francis without even showing that minimum courtesy of informing him about his ouster. It is an irony that a much more ailing Chief Minister dropped his Minister on health grounds.
Less said the better on how in October 2000 the then BJP coalition Chief Minister Francisco Sardinha was dispatched by Manohar Parrikar on a voyage to see the Kangaroos in Australia and was here very unceremoniously and sneakily unsaddled from the throne.
Infact that entry of Subhash Shirodkar into the BJP was also delayed to time it while Shiroda former BJP MLA Mahadev Naik was overseas. That Manohar Parrikar could not dispatch Laxmikant Parsekar to Siberia is another issue.
Today what we are sadly witnessing is no longer Politics but very cheap nauseating Politriks and nobody can beat Manohar Parrikar, the now Maestro in this monkey business. Like the dog’s tail he will never straighten even now while he is in a very precarious state of health.
