The resignation of Atmaram Nadkarni as the Advocate General of Goa is a stage managed drama and a mere eyewash to hoodwink the people of Goa.
The politically well connected Atmaram Nadkarni who is now appointed as the Additional Solicitor General of India is with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s blessings lobbying very hard behind the scenes to also continue as the Advocate General of Goa so that he can merrily milk two cows.
Atmaram Nadkarni is seeking to indefinitely continue also as the Advocate General under the guise of “until alternate arrangements are made” by the Goa Government. Atmaram Nadkarni is desperately trying to continue as Advocate General so that he can continue using the red beacon on his official vehicle in Goa and Delhi, a perk he is not entitled to as the Additional Solicitor General of India.
Atmaram Nadkarni and Manohar Parrikar have over the last four years tampered and tinkered with the Independence of the Judiciary in Goa.
