FORMER BOMBAY HIGH COURT JUDGES SHOULD STOP APPEARING BEFORE THE SAME HIGH COURT

It is very distressing and anguishing that over a handful of former Bombay High Court Judges are most inappropriately appearing before the same High Court and arguing matters before their former fellow Judges. This is very untenable and does not augur well as Justice must not only be done but seen to be done. It is also against the very intent and spirit of the Constitutional mandate which forbids Judges from appearing in the same High Court or Courts there under, where they have been Judges.

Equally unacceptable is the appearances before the same High Court by the kith and kin of some Bombay High Court Judges. Either the kith and kin advocates should stop appearing or the Judges should seek a transfer to another High Court.

Infact in the very selection process of High Court Judges, there ought to be a mechanism in place to ensure that there is no room for such unpleasant and unfortunate rank conflict of interest. The integrity and sanctity of the Temples of Justice must never ever be under any clout whatsoever.
