IS LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR ALSO GETTING OFF HIS ROCKER ALIKE MANOHAR PARRIKAR

From which mystery book does the Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar get that bullfights are a part of Goa’s tradition. If so, the age old gambling Matka is also one and will those casinos too remain an eyesore in the River Mandovi by the government claiming that they are now traditional.

If this government for the sake of petty electoral gains wants to appease that section of bull fight lovers it can do so if permissible within the framework of law, but please do not further distort Goa’s already disfigured history, culture and identity. The irony is that there is more blast defiance of law now, than in the history of India, since Independence.

And as far as the Chief Minister’s skewed claim that bullfights could boost Tourism and generate a lot of income, the government need not be told that it could also further promote the flesh and narcotics trade if revenue at all costs is the Government’s thrust.

Laxmikant Parsekar should do proper justice to the Chief Minster’s chair he won like a lottery. He should speak responsibly with caution and not fire loose Cannons. Or else he would end up being another laughing stock like his predecessor Manohar Parrikar, the master of all U turns.
